The ProQuest journals platform provides translation options for both the user interface and the full text (HTML) view of journal articles. Databases that use the ProQuest platform include ProQuest Central and Literature Online.

Language options include (among others): 

  • Arabic
  • Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) 
  • French
  • Korean
  • Spanish

 

How to translate the ProQuest user interface

 

Select the My Research and Language Selection option in the top right hand side of the ProQuest screen. 

The language of the interface will be set to English by default.

Select this option and choose another language.

The interface will now appear in the language of your choosing.

Translating the interface will not translate the full text of journal articles - to do this follow the steps below. 

 

 

How to translate the full text of journal articles on the ProQuest platform

 

A translate feature is available under both the Abstract and Full Text section headings of an article on the ProQuest platform.

Select the language of your choice and select Translate

 

The full text of the article will not appear in the language of your choosing.
