We do not currently offer a dedicated audiobook service such as Audible or other leisure-focused audiobook collections.

The University of Bolton Library has access to technology and business-focused audiobooks on the O'Reilly for HE platform. Visit out dedicated O'Reilly for HE guide for more details

Some of our journal platforms now offer inbuilt "read aloud" functions. Databases using the EBSCOHost platform have a text-to-speech feature that can read the content of a journal article to you. See the EBSCO website for further information. EBSCO journal databases include CINAHL, British Education Index and Art Full Text. The EBSCO ebook platform does not have this feature.

A wide range of our online Library resources are compatible with assistive technology such as screenreaders.

Bolton Libraries and Museums offer extensive audiobook collections via their Borrowbox service. Membership of Bolton Libraries is free and you can join online if you live, work or study in Bolton. If you don't live or study locally, you can find a library in England and Wales near you.
