Yes, you can use some Library ebooks on e-readers. 

We purchase ebooks from a range of suppliers, so compatibility with e-readers varies. Our largest supplier of ebooks is Ebook Central from ProQuest.

On an Ebook Central ebook, you will see various options for download. This ebook lets you read it online through your browser, download the entire book (for a set period) or download a chapter as a PDF.

Download options on an Ebook Central ebook

If you choose the Download Book option, it lets you download it as an EPUB or PDF, which should be compatible with e-readers. You do have to have Adobe Digital Editions to download the file. Adobe Digital Editions is free and available here.

The download is only for a set period of time (up to 21 days). For longer, unlimited access, we would recommend the Read Online option.
