We strongly recommend that you do not do this. You are responsible for any items that are on your library account, and in the event that the books are not returned, you would be liable for their replacement. 

If you do not have your ID card with you, then the Library helpdesk can keep a maximum of three books to one side for you until you return with your ID card the next day. Please speak to a member of the Library Helpdesk team for details.
