There are two dedicated areas within the library offering speciailised hardware and software. 

The Student Support room (T1-90) can be booked by students at the Help Desk in blocks of up to two hours per day, up to four weeks in advance. Located to the rear of the Individual Study Zone, the Assistive Technology room is open access and does not need to be booked.

Facilities in these areas include:

  • Texthelp Read and Write 11 Gold and Mindview 6.0 which are available on the university network
  • Dragon Naturally Speaking (you can borrow microphone/headsets from the Help Desk)
  • Supernova 15
  • Bookreader/enhancer scanners
  • High-visibility and ergonomic keyboards
  • Footrests
  • Document holders
