Students can only visit the Library during their timetabled sessions on campus. Please consult your departmental timetable for details of when this is. Library staff cannot check this information for you.

The Library will be open Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm. If you are not allocated to come in on a certain date, it is really important that you stay at home and make use of online library resources and support.

Before visiting the library on one of your timetabled sessions, you must make an online booking. There are three types of slot you can book.

  • Collection and Return

Book this 10 minute slot if you want to return books, or if you have received an email to say your Click and Collect book is available to collect.

  • Browse the Shelves

Book this 30 minute slot if you want to browse the shelves yourself. We recommend the use of Click and Collect if possible. If browsing the shelves you should borrow a trolley, follow the one-way system and observe social distancing guidelines.

  • Study Space

Book this one hour slot to use a desk and a PC. You can book one slot per day and up to two slots per week at present. A range of different PCs are available (some with assistive software) but all have access to printing via the MFDs.
