The easiest way to check whether or not a journal article can be made open access is to check the freely available SHERPA RoMEO database.

Many publishers, from the largest to the smaller society publishers, allow journal articles to be made open access. In the event of any queries, or if the journal in which you have published is not listed by the SHERPA RoMEO database, don't hesitate to get in contact with the UBIR Team.
