If you are current student or member of staff and an item you have borrowed is not demand (i.e. has not been reserved by someone else), it will be renewed automatically the day before the item is due. When an item in your account has been renewed, you will receive an email to let you know that this has happened.

If you are an external user or your account is due to expire shortly, your books will not be renewed automatically.

You don't need to wait for automatic renewal; you can renew any time:

  • Online

  • By telephone on 01204 903094 during staffed hours. Have your University ID card ready.

  • In person at the Help Desk

  • Via the self-issue machines in the Link Zone.

You can check the items you have on your account, and see that they have been renewed, by accessing your library account.
